WHAT IT DOES
Menu Cart Icon adds a WooCommerce cart icon with a live item-count badge to any WordPress navigation menu. The icon appears only when the cart has items and updates in real time as the cart changes, using WooCommerce fragments, a custom cache-friendly AJAX endpoint, cross-tab sync, and a polling fallback with a circuit breaker so updates get through even on aggressively cached pages.
It fits WooCommerce stores of any size, including those running WooCommerce Subscriptions, which use non-AJAX form submissions that most menu-cart plugins do not handle correctly. Six icon styles, per-menu exclusions, and separate desktop and mobile sizes make it configurable without touching code.
